Do I need a developer?
Not always. You can set a value by hand in the console, and there’s a copy-paste Google Sheets example. To connect a till or booking system, someone comfortable with a little code will have it running in minutes.
How often can I send a value?
Up to 60 updates a minute. Screens show the new value within seconds.
What happens when the internet drops?
The screen keeps showing the last value it was sent. If you’ve chosen to, it shows “—” once a value is older than the time you set. Screens play offline through the subscription period you’ve paid for, checking in now and then to confirm it; one that can’t check in for longer than that asks to be connected.
