Time, in glowing glass.
Orange digits floating inside glass tubes, with the other numbers faintly visible behind each one. A clock, a countdown, a Now serving number or one of your own numbers.
Drawn live by Dislab from scratch, the way a real tube works: not a video loop, and not a photo with your words pasted on. Every moving part follows the clock, so every screen agrees and it keeps going offline. Played back frame by frame, tested in a browser slowed to six times slower than a computer, and run on a real Google TV stick.
The nixie clock is on every plan, Free included. Countdowns, Now serving and your own numbers come with Pro.
One tube for every number.
Each digit flickers to life as it changes, just like a real tube. On the hour, every tube runs through its digits.
Three cities, each on its own plinth.
Days, hours, minutes and seconds to the big night.
Staff move the number on; the digits that change flicker on.
Four nixie designs, ready to glow.
Pick one in Signs, type your own words, and choose the glow, the plinth and 12- or 24-hour time.
Made for a screen on its side
On a TV hung on its side, the tubes grow tall and the seconds get a plinth of their own.

On a wide screen too
Each one also has its own design for a TV hung the normal way.

A tube clock, drawn in light.
These aren’t photos of old signs with your words pasted on. Every one is drawn from scratch by Dislab, the way the real thing worked: glass, metal, light and moving parts, rendered live on your screen. Every screen showing one moves in step with the others, and it keeps going even when the internet drops.
We played every change back frame by frame: a new digit never mixes with the old one, the roll on the hour lands inside its second, and a countdown’s last second reads 00:00:01, not zeros. Then we tested it in a browser slowed to six times slower than a computer, and on a real Google TV stick.
Each number is its own glowing wire, stacked in the tube. The unlit ones show faintly behind the one that’s on.
A fine mesh in front, highlights on the glass and a wooden plinth, drawn up close.
A changed digit flickers on. On the hour every tube runs through its digits, as real tube clocks do.
Every tube follows the clock, so a row of screens changes together, offline too. Played back frame by frame and tested in a browser slowed six times; only the tubes that change are drawn again.
Questions
Anything else? Ask us.
Does it run smoothly on a cheap TV stick?
Each display is drawn once when the sign comes up; after that only the parts that change are drawn again. We tested it in a browser slowed to six times slower than a computer and on a real Google TV stick, and played every change back frame by frame.
Which plan is it on?
The nixie clock is on every plan, Free included. Countdowns, Now serving and your own numbers in tubes come with Pro.
Does it keep working without internet?
Yes. The sign is saved on each screen and the time comes from the screen’s own clock, so it keeps going with no connection.
Can I change the colour?
Yes. Real tubes glow orange, and that’s where it starts, but you can pick any glow colour, the plinth colour and the colour of the words.
Can it show my own numbers?
Yes, on Pro. A Now serving number, a countdown or a live value you change from your phone, each in tubes.
Other looks only Dislab has.
Every one is a template you can make your own, on every screen. See every style.
