That till-display glow.
Cyan segments behind smoked glass, with the unlit ones ghosting behind. The cool glow of an old till, for a clock, a countdown, today’s special or a queue number.
Drawn live by Dislab from scratch, the way a real display works: not a video loop, and not a photo with your words pasted on. Every moving part follows the clock, so every screen agrees and it keeps going offline. Played back frame by frame, tested in a browser slowed to six times slower than a computer, and run on a real Google TV stick.
The VFD clock is on every plan, Free included. Countdowns, Now serving and your own words come with Pro.
Cyan, or your own colour.
Fourteen-segment letters, so words read as well as numbers. Real displays glowed cyan; pick any colour you like.
The classic till and video recorder glow.
A greener phosphor.
Cool blue behind the glass.
A warm amber filter.
Three till displays, ready to switch on.
Pick one in Signs, then change the words from your phone on Live values: the segments switch over on every screen.
Made for a screen on its side
On a TV hung on its side, the words wrap to fill the glass.

On a wide screen too
Each one also has its own design for a TV hung the normal way.

A till display, drawn in light.
These aren’t photos of old signs with your words pasted on. Every one is drawn from scratch by Dislab, the way the real thing worked: glass, metal, light and moving parts, rendered live on your screen. Every screen showing one moves in step with the others, and it keeps going even when the internet drops.
We played every change back frame by frame: the old words go out at once and the new ones warm up, so two never mix, and a display keeps its size when the words change. Then we tested it in a browser slowed to six times slower than a computer, and on a real Google TV stick.
Every letter and number is built from fourteen segments, so it spells words. A zero has its slash, so it never reads as an O.
Every unlit segment is faintly there, with a fine grid in front of each character, as on the real tubes.
The characters lean forward behind dark smoked glass, with a faint sheen across it.
Every segment follows the clock, so a row of screens changes together, offline too. Played back frame by frame and tested in a browser slowed six times; only the characters that change are drawn again.
Questions
Anything else? Ask us.
Does it run smoothly on a cheap TV stick?
Each display is drawn once when the sign comes up; after that only the parts that change are drawn again. We tested it in a browser slowed to six times slower than a computer and on a real Google TV stick, and played every change back frame by frame.
Which plan is it on?
The VFD clock is on every plan, Free included. Countdowns, Now serving and your own words come with Pro.
Does it keep working without internet?
Yes. The sign is saved on each screen and the time comes from the screen’s own clock, so it keeps going with no connection.
Can it spell words?
Yes. It spells words with its own segments: a special, a price, opening hours or a short message, changed from your phone.
What can it show?
A clock with the date, a countdown, a Now serving number, or a number or words you send from Live values.
Other looks only Dislab has.
