Dish numbers, add-ons, dietary icons and energy

Pro

Give items a number, an add-ons line, V, VG, GF, DF, NF or Halal icons (or your own), chillies, and their energy in kJ or calories.

In Menus, open an item with the three-line button beside it:

  • Number: a dish or combo number (12, A3), shown before the name.
  • Energy: typed in the menu’s unit, set under Energy in: Kilojoules (kJ), which Australian and New Zealand menus use, or Calories (Cal). Change the unit any time; every item follows.
  • Add-ons: one line under the description, like “Add bacon +$3 · Gluten-free bun +$2”.
  • Dietary: V, VG, GF, DF, NF and H (halal), shown as small badges after the name. Need another, like K for Keto? On the menu’s Settings tab, under Your own icons, press Add an icon, give it up to 4 letters and say what it means; it then shows here to tick, and in the key.
  • Spicy: one to three chillies.

They change with the rest of the menu on Publish.

On the sign, select the Menu widget. Dietary icons shows them With a key under the menu (naming only the icons on the board), Icons only, or Off. Energy (kJ or Cal) shows each item’s energy small after its name, with the daily-intake line menus use under the board (“The average adult daily energy intake is 8,700 kJ.”), or turns it off. Menu labelling rules differ by state and country: check what your business needs to show.
