A screen shows as offline in the console
A screen is offline after 12 minutes without checking in. It keeps playing; find out why it can’t reach Dislab.
TVs check in every 5 minutes. One that hasn’t for 12 minutes shows as Offline in Screens and Health, with how long ago it last checked in. An offline screen keeps playing what it has; your changes reach it when it’s back.
- Is the TV on? A TV switched off at the wall, or a stick unplugged overnight, is offline. Set the location’s opening hours so you’re only alerted while it’s open.
- At the TV, press a button on the remote. No Dislab menu? Dislab isn’t open: check the HDMI input and the stick’s power, then open Dislab.
- Choose Troubleshoot or unpair and do what the first red line says (usually No internet).
- Back in the console, open the screen and press Re-sync now. It shows as Online within seconds once it checks in.
- Not checked in yet (Health): paired, but the TV hasn’t checked in since. Check it’s on and online.
- Alert sent (Health): we emailed you that it went offline (after 30 minutes, while its location is open). You get another when it’s back. Turn these on or off under Email me at on Health.
- “A screen will stop playing unless it connects to the internet”: it has been offline for a long time and is within 5 days of its subscription confirmation running out: see can’t confirm your subscription.
