Screenshots and remote controls
Every planSee exactly what a TV shows, and on a Signage Stick or a stick set up for Dislab, switch the TV on or off and restart it.
See what’s on the TV
- Open the screen in Screens and find On the TV now.
- Press Take a screenshot.

- Within a few seconds the TV sends back what it’s showing, the way people see it. Click the picture to see it full size.
The last 3 are kept. An offline TV takes it if it checks in within 10 minutes. Not available on a browser screen.
Switch the TV and restart the stick
An Amazon Signage Stick, or an Android TV stick set up for Dislab, has an extra card on its screen page with the stick’s health (Wi-Fi, temperature, memory, storage, serial number) and buttons:
- Turn the TV on and Turn the TV off, through HDMI-CEC. If the TV doesn’t follow, switch HDMI-CEC on in the TV’s settings (Anynet+, Bravia Sync, SimpLink).
- Restart Dislab, and Restart the stick (the screen is dark for about a minute; Dislab asks first).
- Signage Stick: Install Dislab update and Install Fire OS update.
- Stick set up for Dislab: Release this stick makes it an ordinary stick again.
Each request shows whether it was done. An offline stick gets it when it’s back, or it’s dropped after 10 minutes, so a stick never restarts hours later. Every plan.
